At the Renaissance Festival |
An elephant at the Renaissance Festival? It was an unexpected treat at the Exclusive Preview Party for the 2015 Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Who is feeding the elephanet? |
The event took place at Queen’s Gate on Thursday, August 13th, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. My guests included husband Allan and friends Chuck and Pam Freiberg of Victoria. That’s Pam feeding the elephant. |
Posing between Allan and Chuck is a guy who has been working the Renaissance for 40 years. Dressed as a rooster, he squawks loudly in terror and grief at people who are eating the famous turkey legs, that it could be “my mother, my father, my brother, my sister, my cousin.” |
Pam enjoyed this Pirate of the Caribbean but he was not Johnny Depp. |
We were all guests of King Henry. |
While sampling food fare and enjoying costumes and personalities, we ran into someone familiar with the Gazette, Kerry Leopold of Victoria. Left to right: Cynthia McKee, Pam Freiberg, Kerry Leopold, unidentified Renaissance gal, Chuck Freiberg. |
As the evening grew dark, so did some of the Renaissance people. |
