Mia is Born

Amelia Marie was born to Nick and Jen Orsen of Brooklyn Park on Sunday, May 9th, 2010, Mother’s Day, at 11:05 p.m., three to four weeks before her anticipated due date, and spent a few days in the special care unit at Abbot Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.  Mia weighed 5 lbs. 6 oz. and measured 20 inches in length.

                 There were visiting restrictions and I was babysitting Sophie on and off and Allan was at a MPWA Conference for three days in Brainerd, so we didn’t get to see Mia until May 15th.  Nick is a wonderful dad who can even change diapers through the arm-holes of an incubator.  Jen and Nick took turns being at home with Sophie or at the hospital with Mia.  Mia went home on May 20th.
