The Gannons became even more acquainted with the area as Holy Family Catholic High School came to be built in Victoria, opening in the fall of 2000. They were on the Capital Campaign Leadership Team for the school and have since been involved with Holy Family football camps. Their oldest daughter is a graduate of Holy Family and is today a sophomore at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania. Said a proud dad, "Alexis is a soccer player majoring in neuroscience." Daughter Danielle is a senior at Holy Family this fall and a tennis player. "She's captain of her team," he said. Rich and family moved to the Smithtown Bay area of Victoria in 2007 and are often seen at Mass at the St. Victoria Catholic Church on weekends. When did they join St. Victoria? "Actually, we're members at St. Hubert's in Chanhassen," he replied, "but we love Father Bob and Victoria is a little closer for us so we go here too." Today Rich does a national radio show on Sirius XM NFL Radio from his home Monday through Thursday, and also a Monday evening show on CBS Sports Network called "NFL Monday QB." Shelley does volunteer work in the community. When they opened the door to the Gannon Building in downtown Victoria, many people had the opportunity to groove with the Gannons.
