The 1860’s vintage barn at the Hartman Garden Center on Bavaria Road is now reconstructed and the wooden cupula is situated in place along with the wood water tank and working windmill. Landscaping of the area is now occurring. |

After nearly 20 years as Victoria Postmaster, Barb Hoffman retired on May 26th, 2017. Postal Clerk Melissa Easley has often worked with Barb. On the right is Carol Simnioniw, who will be in charge at the Victoria Post Office for about a month. A new Victoria Postmaster has not yet been named. |

Father Bob White, the priest at St. Victoria Catholic Church, introduced his new pal at weekend Masses on May 27th/28th. The golden retriever Arlo, who came from Helping Paws, is in training to serve at Mass, but not in the foreseeable future. |

Fr. Bob said his new dog is named after the Late Great Arlo Guthrie, the 1960’s folk singer who was born in the same year as Fr. Bob, as was Hillary Clinton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Paula Deen, OJ Simpson, Stephen King, Mitt Romney, Tom Clancy, Margaret Hanson, and Jim Emmer. Oh, yes, and the Orsens. |
