The Victoria Gazette Archives Past issues are pushing up daisies at www.VictoriaGazette.com |
To the Editor: Bob and I enjoyed reading the article on Marsh Lake. It’s a great facility and we are proud to have been involved in its beginnings. We’re also pleased that part of our family is still there to carry on. Would it be possible to send us a couple extra copies of that March issue? Please send us another year of the Gazette. We love to hear what’s going on in Victoria and the lateset on what our buddy Cowboy Tom is up to. Best regards, Karen and Bob Swanson Robertsdale, Alabama
To the Editor: I enjoyed your March letter from the editor. I agree! I think schools should concentrate more on the basic subjects and stop trying to affect every aspect of a child’s life. We need to leave the upbringing to the parents. School is meant for academics and the sooner our system gets back to that, the sooner we will start turning out the best and the brightest once again. I like the pictures of Sophie, naturally. She is such a cutie and getting so expressive. Dave and Helen Ellingson Sophie’s “other” grandparents. Waskish, Minnesota
To the Editor: Enclosed is my check for another year of good reading. I enjoy the Gazette very much and especially find it a challenge to locate the fishhook each month. After quite a search this time, I found it on page 34 on the baseball player’s leg in the March issue. Thank you. Barbara Johnson Sacred Heart, Minnesota
To the Editor: I know I’ve called and told you we get the Gazette late sometimes. We didn’t get your last Gazette until March 11th!! We like your paper. Glad to get it. Would be nice to get it earlier. Lillian Reich Waconia, Minnesota
EDITOR’S NOTE: I’ve stood on my head for many years regarding a few late deliveries here and there and all it’s done is give me a headache.
To the Editor: I work for Guy Schoenecker who is a member at Marsh Lake Hunting Club and would like him to see the nice article you wrote in the March issue of the Gazette. I am not able to print the article for him from your online edition because of the formatting. Would you send me a printer friendly version? Thanks so much. Sherry O’Donnell Assistant to the CEO and COO BI Worldwide
To the Editor: Saddened to hear of Bill Holm’s death. I thought of you right away and the fact that you knew him and he was from your hometown. I’d always hoped to see him at a book signing or something somewhere. How lucky for you to have met him. Jan Olinger Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Enclosed is $15 for the monthly news from a great paper. Thank you! I want to tell Ron Holtmeier that the handsome fellow who repaired his computer is my grand nephew and, by the way, he is in engaged to Jenna Robling, daughter of Claire (Klingelhutz) and Tony Robling. Brian is the son of Sandy (Kerber) and Darrell Rodenz. The wedding is planned for June 20th. Julianne (Kerber) Henne High School Classmate of Uncle Ron Eden Prairie, Minnesota
