To the Editor: Hi, Sue. The fishhook is on the leg of the (Chaska Cub) ballplayer on page 34 of your March issue. Would be nice if our Cubs would win the state championship. Let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us! That could be the motto for them. They have had lots of chances so maybe this year. If not, it’s fun watching them play and they give lots of enjoyment to the Chaska fans. Marlene and Bill Paal Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. You used to put the names in the paper of the kids on the Honor Roll and President’s List. I enjoyed reading their names that attend Holy Family Catholic High School. Could you do that again? Thanks. Marlene Maeser Victoria, Minnesota
EDITOR’S NOTE: Long ago I decided that schools or someone besides me should pay for that large space and publicity in the Gazette. I give countless pages of free photos and publicity in other ways to the schools and students in our area.
To the Editor: One day Marv and I stopped at your parents’ home in the Alamo Country Club and dropped them off a copy of the Victoria Gazette. Your mother looked at us and said, “That is our daughter’s paper!” We said we knew, as we used to live in Victoria years ago and knew you and also that your Aunt Sharlene plays bridge with our sister in law Audrey Timm at Minneota. Anyway, we are at Trophy Gardens Park which is about a quarter mile from Alamo. We are on 495 and Tower. It’s in the 80’s today, and we hear you are having a snowstorm back in Minnesota. It was a good winter to get away for sure! Marlys and Marv Timm Warm in Texas
To the Editor: Sophia is so very cute. I like the photos best where she is smiling. We will be getting two more great grandkids later this year but they will be living far away -- one in Texas and the other in Illinois. Our others are living in Arizona and California. If I can count correctly, the total will then be nine. Uncle Ron Holtmeier Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi. I thought your fishhook was located as part of the rainbarrel in the Carver County Environmental Center ad on page 34. Then I looked to the left and there it was on the leg of the baseball player! Thank you for the wonderful story about the Marsh Lake Hunting Club and This Old House and the beautiful pictures of your grandchildren. Love, Bernice Barris Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Good morning, Glamma Sue. What fun pictures of you and the beautiful grandchildren in the latest Victoria Gazette. I will be catching up to you soon. Our third grandchild is due in August. Now I have one of each. I do help out a lot watching them. I think glammas take good care of them. Carol Lindner Catholic Aid Representative Mayer, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thank you, Sue, for the wonderful article and photos in the Gazette last month. Shawn Eastman Marsh Lake Hunting Club Laketown Township, Minnesota
