To the Editor: Your “big” little paper is the best. We enjoy it so much. Enjoy reading about your grandkids and pictures. What is more wonderful than a family! Thank you so much for your dedication. Can’t wait for the new grocery store in Victoria. Rick and Kathy Brose Laketown Township, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thank you for your great work on the Gazette. It’s a bright spot in our day. I’m including a note about our daughter Donna and her Cheer Team from Sidney High School in Nebraska. God bless you and your family. Sharon Brown Cologne, Minnesota
To the Editor: That was a great editorial last month about District #112 -- really, education today in general. I hope you sent an edition of that paper to the School Superintendent. Excellent thoughts. Kellie Sites Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: Enclosed is $15 for our subscription to the Gazette. It is well read, plus well written. Also, I found the hidden fishhook on page 34 on the baseball player’s leg. Thank you. Shirley Carrier Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: The Sheriff’s Office website has a new feature. In addition to our Crime Alert Network, we now have an Online Crime Tip Form. This form should only be used to submit tips relating to information you may have regarding specific criminal activity. This tip form is not meant to substitute reporting a crime in progress, nor is this web page monitored 24/7. It is simply another resource for you to submit information to the Sheriff’s Office which you believe will assist in deterring, preventing, or solving a crime. Sheriff Bud Olson Carver County, Minnesota
To the Editor: Please come and express your comments at the Arboretum on “The Energy Crisis.” Let’s have some good old fashioned dialogue about issues. Secretary of Energy Dr. Chu spoke to us today. He stated that during the Carter years we were dependent on foreign oil at 30%. Today it is just south of 70%. He is concerned that the money we are spending on Mid East oil is funding the bombs that are killing our soldiers. I am with you, Sue. Let’s get off foreign oil now. I worked on drilling rigs in North Dakota and Wyoming as a young guy. Did a little uranium mining too. Keep editing! The fourth estate is important to our democracy. Randy Maluchnik Carver County Commissioner Carver County, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I also enclosed an additional $15 for a subscription for our granddaughter Jaymie Kaufhold in Shakopee. Thank you. Marlys and Marv Timm Loretto, Minnesota
To the Editor: Getting the Gazette down in Florida for the winter was a monthly treat. It will be good to get back to my Lake Waconia home and my Blomgren and Kovaleski families. Keep up the good work. Pat Kovaleski Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: Enclosed find $15 for renewal of my subscription to the Gazette which we enjoy very much. Also enjoyed the recent letter from my cousin John Kirsch and his description of Victoria years ago. I remember some of the older names and the gravel streets. Victoria sure has changed. Gladys Whittaker Waconia, Minnesota
