To the Editor: Just moved to this area from Illinois. Must say I’m quite charmed with the “small town” paper you’re running. I look forward to reading it every month. Also very pleased with the business participation in the advertisements. Found some excellent local places this way. Keep up the good work. Found the fishhook on page 30 in the cornucopia of the Waterbrooke ad. Genevieve Tenoso Victoria, MN 55386
To the Editor: We weren’t aware the Gazette was being delivered to another address in Plano. We believe we owe you for roughly eight years of delivery. It it’s more, please send us a quick note. Take good care. John Schmieg and Jeanette Wayne Plano, Texas
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Thank you so much for getting the ad in your paper in time for my event. I had a great response. I’ll be sending you another ad for my craft and art sale and talk with you about monthly advertising rates for my salon. Thanks again. Judy Black Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: You actually fooled this old lady. There was a fishhook in the October issue of the Gazette! My Aunt Ethel Schneider couldn’t even find it. I looked three hours and figured there’s no fishhook. Then the second week of October I get the flu and I was in no mood to hunt again. I had already read the Gazette and I just wanted to sleep it off. Had 101.4 temperature. I felt like a fish on the fryer. Bleah! This time your fishhook is on the cornucopia of the Waterbrooke ad on page 30 -- in the November issue. Turkey Day is November 27th. Eat, burp, and head for the couch. My 14-year old TV is worn out. A good day to read some more of the Gazette and snooze. Anyone have a 13-inch TV with remote in working order that they want to get rid of? Call me. Kay Meuwissen Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: The mentality of some people! Late Friday evening or early Saturday morning, November 14th or 15th, some person or persons stole our American Flag and couplings from our 15-foot flagpole in front of our house. This is not only deplorable and degrading to us, but especially an insult to our flag and ultimately our country. Why are we targeted for flying the American Flag and keeping up our property? Sandra Dahl Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: The winter season offers several holidays, including vacations to either cold or warm climates, varied outdoor sporting activities, and cozy evenings by the fireplace or wood burning stove. We also have the great Minnesota challenge, winter driving. Information to better educate our citizens to the potential life-threatening conditions or behavior of winter can be found on the Carver County website under the quick link of Risk/Emergency Management. Thank you in advance for your time and effort to increase the safety of our citizens in Carver County and across the State of Minnesota. Tim Walsh, Safety Officer Risk/Emergency Management Carver County, Minnesota
To the Editor: You did a good job on “A Moravian Melody” in your November issue of the Gazette. May the Moravian melodies go on and on and on. Found the fishhook on page 30 in the cornucopia of the Ecumenical Thanksgiving ad. Serena Wachholz Norwood, Minnesota
To the Editor: A very sincere thank you from Lake Auburn for your kind words and articles in the Gazette covering our 150th anniversary. I pray we can do it again in another 150 years. Peace, love, and blessings. Pastor Frank Jones Victoria, Minnesota
