To the Editor: I found the fishhook on page 39 on the Merry Moose's nose in the Arboretum Gift Store picture. My husband Bob was the Victoria City Attorney way back when Larry Bodahl was the City Administrator so I always enjoy reading about Victoria. Keep up the good work. Helen Nicklaus Cologne, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thank you for the beautiful memorial you wrote about Thom. That was good for a few tears. I will treasure that Gazette always. He must be smiling. Love, Claudia Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. My name is Breanna Kaufhold. I was wondering if I could get the picture that was in the newspaper from the Victoria City Council meeting on September 23rd, 2013. It was at the headline and was of the audience from the meeting. If you could find that picture and email it to me, that would be awesome. Thanks. Breanna Kaufhold Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hope you're doing well. The holiday season was full for me and my family. It has all been good. I hope your holiday was the same. One of our activities is ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. I have written a short piece on our annual event. I thought if you wanted to promote the Salvation Army's practice, you may want to include the article in the Victoria Gazette. Bob Ayotte Chanhassen, Minnesota
To the Editor: Happy Valentine's Day. Birthday greetings to Tanta Ethel Schneider. Tanta is aunt in German. There is even a polka song called, "Tanta Anna." Tanta Ethel had an aunt called Tanta Anna. I'm in no way fluent in German. I wanted to take it in high school but it didn't happen. I got a German slang book and I had a German dictionary, but I think it got lost with moving. I have a German book from 1897. It's a school book with a story in it but I can't tell what it's about. I only know Hundt is dog. I can't tell if it's high or low German. I found it in the house. It might have belonged to Grandpa Joe Poppler who was born in 1888. Back then he would have been an 11-year old kid. Rudolph will have to see Dr. Waples at Victoria Veterinary Clinic and get the fishhook off his face on page 39 in the January paper. That would be plenty sore. Kay Meuwissen Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I am submitting a commentary for Cognitive Clinical Specialist Theresa Klein, who created a program tailored specifically to people dealing with dementia that is based on her own personal experience. Theresa works at Emerald Crest by Augustana Care, located in Victoria. Jenna Zark, Augustana Care Director of Communications Minneapolis, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I found the fishhook on the Moose nose on page 39. Good thinking on your part. I do enjoy your paper. I don't know that many people from Victoria but I like reading about all the activities and goings on. Keep up the good work. Doreen Walter Cologne, Minnesota
