119 NEW HOMES FOR VICTORIA IN 2013 Mayor Tom O'Connor spoke to residents on January 13th in regard to the 2013 year-end report from the Victoria Planning Commission. "You would do well to spend some time to slug through it," he said. In the council packet, the report was on the consent agenda. "This group of individuals on the Planning Commission does a tremendous job," said the mayor. "It's edifying to see the thoughts and discussion of these five dedicated people. The Council gets the credit and the press, but every other Tuesday night the Planning Commission sits and works for hours for us." Those Victoria residents serving on the Planning Commission at this time are James Donadio, Ken Goulart, Jeff Loeschen, Grant Peterson, and Todd Triethart. Holly Kreft, the Victoria Community Development Director, serves as the staff liaison to the Planning Commission. The report indicated there were 119 new home permits in Victoria in 2013.
