The Victoria Gazette Archives Past issues are pushing up daisies at www.VictoriaGazette.com |
To the Editor: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Keep up your good work. Everyone enjoys your paper. Art, Todd, and Eric Johnson Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: I would like to subscribe to the best hometown newspaper in the history of the world:) You always have a lot of great stories and articles. You are always conscientious and detailed. And you always put my kids’ team picture in your paper when they win a championship. I love your paper. It is always extremely interesting and extremely well done. Thanks for providing your community with such a great asset. Randy Eiden Cologne, Minnesota
To the Editor: Would you please send me a copy of the November issue of the Victoria Gazette? We were neighbors to the “hat lady,” Virginia Stowe, and her parents. Lloyd Hedtke Fergus Falls, Minnesota
To the Editor: I’m really getting around the country because of the story you wrote [“The Hat Lady”] as I’m hearing from relatives in northern Minnesota and from Alaska to Iraq. A lady from church sent that November issue of the Gazette to her son in Iraq. By the way, those six wild turkeys are still here in our yard most of the day. Love, Virginia Stowe Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I don’t get it. We have a fabulous grocery store in Victoria. We asked for it. We want to build community. I want to run into my friends and neighbors there, before it is too late. When will I? Judy Crawford Victoria, Minnesota To the Editor: You must work night and day to produce such a wonderful paper month after month. Your article about Ancsa brought tears to my eyes. May God bless the Bonners in a special way. Then, too, your article about Germaine and her wit and goodness was heart-rending. My sympathies over her death. She’s loving you from heaven. Of course, I enjoy any column about our humorous friend, Father Elstan. May God’s energy continue to be with you and the family for the New Year. Sr. Mary Nick Eiden Eden Prairie, Minnesota
To the Editor: I find the online photo presentation of your columnists in your latest page in Sue’s Album, a fine gesture. Finally I saw some of them who contribute with their articles to your paper, particularly your young climatologist. Where does he get all that information about the weather? Really, I like the open, unrestrained, common word-painting of all your writers and of you. It gives your Gazette that warm cordiality touch, that feeling that one belongs to the community, where he lives. Go further with the same conception in 2010. We wish you a lot of success. Although we got a lot of snow today (30 cm. with a cold northwind), we don’t complain. Up to now we didn’t get the flu. Our four grandchildren have Christmas holidays but economically my daughter and her husband have one week of unemployment between Christmas and New Year’s Day. The businesses go bad here. We hope and pray for a better 2010. We stay optimists. Keep smiling, we say to ourselves. May God bless you all. Theofeil and Josee Keymis Hasselt, Belgium
To the Editor: That was a fascinating and heartwarming article on Ancsa. My guess is that the man she marries will be blessed indeed. Fr. Bernardine Hahn, OFM St. Louis, Missouri
