One, Two, Recycle a Shoe! Have you heard that footwear recycling is now available locally? Victoria First Grade Girl Scout Brownie Troop 13277 is helping spread the news to Victoria Elementary School and they want to spread the news to the entire community too. Triathlon Winners. Here are the winners from the recent Minnetonka Community Education’s Youth Triathlon. The three events in the triathlon were biking, swimming, and running. The event took place at Minnetonka Middle School East, and this was the fourth annual triathlon. Congratulations and Best Wishes. Norbert Derhaag of Victoria and Darlene Nelson of Hopkins were united in marriage at the St. Victoria Catholic Church in Victoria on Saturday, April 26th, 2008. Norbert is the father of four grown children; Darlene has five. Together there are many grandchildren. The couple resides in Victoria.
Baby “Cy” James Emmer was born on Friday, May 9th, 2008, at Fairview Southdale Hospital. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. and measured 21 inches in length. Cy is shown here with proud parents Patrick and Jill Emmer of Minneapolis and grandparents Jim and Nan Emmer of Victoria. Jill’s parents are Dick and Lynn Cherwenka of Milwaukee. It’s their first grandchild too. Cryril James Emmer was named for revered Grandfather Cy on Jill’s maternal side, who is still living and over 90 years old. Mother and Dad are doing just fine.
