To the Editor

I enjoyed your piano playing at St. Hubert’s in Chanhassen last week for the combined choir concert.  Our daughter attends Holy Family Catholic High School in Victoria.  Enjoy reading the Victoria Gazette.  Keep it coming.

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  Found the fishhook on page 7 in the Parker Tannin ad, on the second “f” of the word OFF.  Enjoy Addie’s little drawings, just like her mother and grandmother.

Greetings from Lititz, PA, the land of lots of Moravians.  Lititz was settled during the 1740’s and Moravians established a country congregation here in 1756.

To the Editor:

Greetings, Sue.  Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to take the KleinBank Victoria staff and directors photo earlier this week.  It was a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you better in the months and years ahead.  Have a Marvelous Memorial Day Weekend.  Best always!

To the Editor:

I was raised on the Fink farm located on Highway 5 at Victoria.  My dad, Abner Fink, and mother, Helen, sold the farm in January, 1942.  I am wondering who the owner is at this time.  We sold it to Tony Kerber.  Don’t know if he still owns it or his family might.  I usually go back there to visit every spring in the Norwood Young America area.  I would like to speak to the ones that own it.

Just for old times sake I’d like to take some pictures of the interior.  I saw when the barn went down in a storm.  I saw Ronald Holtmeier who is living in my dad’s Uncle Christ’s house; his sister Lorraine was in my class in Victoria’s school.  Many good memories back there.  I live in Huntington Beach, California, and enjoy the Gazette website.

Yes, I know Maddy Fink.  She and my dad were cousins.  I went to the Victoria school with Jim Fink.  I didn’t make it back to Minnesota for my annual trip this year because I fell and broke my leg, so I’m looking forward to next year.  I visit my remaining aunt on my mother’s side.

         Thank you in advance.

To the Editor:

Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day.  In June we’ll have to salute all the fathers.  Sorry to hear about Father Elstan.  Many years ago when I was a Chaska resident, I met Father Elstan at Guardian Angels when he was quite young, perhaps newly ordained.  May he rest in God’s peace.

I had quite a time finding the spot where you hid the fishhook last month.  I looked for hours!  Finally, there it was on page 7 in the Parker Tannin’s ad.

To the Editor:

My Girl Scout troop (eleven girls in 9th grade) are planning a garage sale on Saturday, May 17th.  They are fundraising to earn money to take a trip to Chicago this summer, sort of a big hurrah before they go on to high school.  How do they go about putting an ad in your paper to encourage people to come to the garage sale?

  To the Editor:

Really sorry to learn of Father Elstan’s death.  He truly was an asset to our community.  He was always so helpful in our 4H years, allowing us to practice our Share the Fun acts in an area of the St. Victoria Parish Center near a piano, and always supportive of the 4H program.

         I like Amy Dickenson’s poem:

         The world is not conclusion;

       A sequel stands beyond --

       Invisible as music,

       As positive as sound.

Ralph and I send our sympathy as we know that the community is mourning a good friend.
