To the Editor: Mom asked me to send this to you to see if it was possible to put something in the Gazette. Lukas Worm, age 9, is the great grandson of Sylvester and Dorleen Schmieg. There will be a benefit breakfast for Lukas on Sunday, March 22nd, at the New Prague KC Hall from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds go to the care of Lukas, son of Nadine and Aaron Worm of Montgomery. At the age of three, Lukas began having seizures and was diagnosed with epilepsy. He continues to have countless seizures and doctors are baffled why his brain is shrinking. In addition, he has serious lung issues and his body is weakening. Lukas enjoys playing with Isaak, his younger brother, cars, Thomas the Train, and Bria, his service dog. He smiles throughout the day and often proclaims with great joy, "The sun came up today!" Lisa Brueggemeier Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Thank you so much for the Gazette. I really enjoyed reading about Chub and Celeste Aretz in your February edition [Celebrating a Centennial]. I went to school with their daughter Judy Aretz from 3rd grade on. We loved your story. God bless. Thanks again. Here is our subscription check to you for all you do. Friends forever, Georgiana Johnson Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: In its 67th year, the Twin Cities Parade of Homes will run February 28th through March 29th, Over 400 new homes will be open to tour Thursdays through Saturdays from 12 noon to 6 p.m. all across the region. All the homes are free to tour with the exception of three million-dollar Dream Homes which will charge a $5 donation at the door to benefit the Builders Association of the Twin Cities. Twelve of the homes are located in the City of Victoria. Wendy Danks, BATC Roseville, Minnesota
To the Editor: We are writing about a thought that could save babies' lives. No, not from measles but from painful deaths of abortion. For 42 years, after nine un-elected judges on the Supreme Court forced abortion-on-demand down our nation's throat, 61 million babies have been legally killed by "choice" under the discovered "right of privacy." Recognizing the personhood of the unborn has a greater possibility now than ever before with the advancement of medical science, detailed ultra sound imaging, and the newly elected Congress. Help is crucial to let our representatives know that Unborn Life Matters. Don and Monica Mahon Winsted, Minnesota
To the Editor: I just wanted to tell you how much we enjoy reading your paper. We moved to Victoria a little less than a year ago, and the Gazette has been a great way to get to know our new community. My dad visited recently from Ohio and he read the last two issues cover to cover and remarked how lucky we are to have such an informative paper. Thank you for your hard work and a quality paper. Vicki Shequen Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Great article on the new Victoria City Hall and Public Works facilities last month. I was wondering if you published these stories online as we would love to link to it via our social media channels. Also, would you be willing to share the pictures with us? I would like to post them to Facebook and use them for our marketing purposes. I would credit whomever you'd like. Thanks Josh Schultz Stahl Construction Company St. Louis Park, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thank you for sharing your recipes in the December Christmas issue of the Gazette. I tried Christie Schlueter's Chicken Enchilada Skillet Supper. Very good. I made some changes, however. I added one can of green chilis. And instead of the crushed tortilla chips I used one cup of instant brown rice and served it with tostada scoops. I found your February fishhook on page 24 in the Waconia Ford ad. Helen Schimmelpfennig Fish Creek, Wisconsin
