Our Snow Bunny. Thank you for all the work you do providing our community with an outstanding paper. Just received the latest edition (April 2008) and laughed at all the snow pictures. I thought you would enjoying seeing what our family used the March 21-23 weekend snow for, before it melted! It was a great welcoming for Easter. Thanks again. On the right is Waterville, MN, Lion Jack Webster about to collect a $500 check from Victoria’s own Past District Governor Lion Wayne Neubarth of Victoria. On Thursday, April 10th, at 2:50 p.m. sharp, they arrived with our Spring Storm to collect their annual check for Journey for Service. Consolation Champions. Excelsior-based Our Savior Lutheran School’s 7th and 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball Team finished their season as Consolation Champions at the 62nd Annual National Lutheran School Tournament at Valparaiso, Indiana, held March 28th-30th. The Our Savior Eagles competed with 32 Lutheran schools from across the United States. As the 2008 MN State Runners Up from the tournament held at Concordia University in St. Paul, MN, the Lady Eagles proved their talents at Nationals with an impressive 5-1 record against other championship teams from Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska, California, Indiana, and Ohio. The Our Savior Eagles played aggressively as a team throughout the tournament against very competitive schools, many of which have enrollment figures four to five times larger than the Excelsior K-8 school.
