To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  I haven’t seen you for a while.  I love being at Mass in Victoria on Tuesdays and Fridays on my way to work.  I’ve met many new friends and always feel so welcome.

Your talent shines in each issue of the Gazette.  Until we meet again ...

         Love,

         Connie Borak, Chaska, Minnesota

To the Editor:

I’m just a proud mother, sending you a thank you for putting together the feature article on my family in the Victoria Gazette last month.  You did a wonderful job.  Thank you.

To the Editor:

Hello, Sue, from your old bowling partner of years ago.  Our son Sean, who lives in Heber City, Utah, sent this information and asked if you would put it in the paper ...

“Several members of the Carse family have been diligently training for the Lake Minnetonka Triathlon on June 21st, 2008.  We are racing together to support the Prostate Cancer Foundation and to raise funds for Prostrate Cancer Research in support of John Carse (our father and father in law who was diagnosed with it in August, 2007, and is doing great).

“For all but myself, it is their first triathlon.  Our efforts have been contagious in that we have many other friends, neighbors, and coworkers from the community who will be participating in the event too.  If you would like more information, our website is www.athletes,kintera.org/other/scarse.”

Their letter is signed, “Sean Carse, Ryan Carse, Mollie (Carse) Simon, Dale Trisko, Ryan Rydberg.”

         Thanks Sue.

To the Editor:

Was that a fishhook I saw in the table leg of the Wensmann ad on page 13?  This time it was hard to find, since there was no St. Joe’s ad to look in.  Okay, pretend I didn’t say that.  I laughed and laughed when I read your Fishhook Column last month.  Keep the humor coming.  It gets me through the day.  And don’t feel sorry that you put the fishhook in St. Joe’s ad twice in a row.  But you might be sorry that you pulled my name out of the minnow bucket.  Margarete Smith, the principal at St. Joe’s, is me!

To the Editor:

Another year has gone by and the time is coming for this year’s church rummage sale.  The matching grant sale for parish education this year is on Thursday and Friday, May 22nd and 23rd, at the St. Victoria Parish Center.

Lawrence is always looking for the fishhook in the Gazette.  Sometimes it takes him a while to find it, but he’s never going to win because he never sends it in to you.  Keep up the great work.

         Elaine Williams, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  Found the fishhook on page 19 in the Life Puzzle’s column.  Sure is nice to come home from out west and find Gazettes to read.  Always very interesting and nice to read.  Keep up the good work.

To the Editor:

You are invited to attend and cover the Specialty Coffee Association of America’s 2008 Minneapolis Conference and Exhibition May 2-5.  Get the full scoop on coffee and learn what happens before an estimated 300 million cups are consumed by Americans in a day.  This is the world’s largest coffee trade association, and you are cordially invited.
