Hi, Mom. All kinds of exciting things are going on here in Tioga. Addie lost her two front teeth, one during Sunday School, and Gunnar got a first place trophy in sparring at his first Tae Kwon Do tournament. Christopher is finished putting siding on their playhouse and now has to paint the door and shingle the roof. It’s very windy here today. Happy Spring. See you soon for Lindsay’s wedding. Love you, The Norgaards Jenny, Chris, Addie, and Gunnar Tioga, North Dakota
Sophie, little tyke of Nick and Jen Orsen, likes to play with her Grandma Sue’s telephone. Although Sophie has several “dead” ones of her own to play with, none of them make noise and talk when you press the buttons. ~S.O.
Senator Ortman at the Podium. Governor Tim Pawlenty praised both Republican and DFL legislators for their cooperative efforts to pass a bill to promote job growth and strengthen investment opportunities around the State of Minnesota. Senator Julianne Ortman [District 34, Scott and Carver Counties] represented the Minnesota Senate with her remarks during the Governor’s signing on Thursday, April 1st. The bill, which is now law, will promote job growth by providing $100 million in tax breaks and incentives to business around the state. Said Senator Ortman, “We can be proud of the fact that we have consensus in the state about the goals for our state.” Jamie Yost, Legislative Assistant State Office Building St. Paul, Minnesota
Spring has sprung a month early this year so it’s high time to plant your garden! Come early or stay late to explore and enjoy spring in bloom in the gardens and around the grounds of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, on Victoria’s doorstep.
