To the Editor: Greetings, Sue. It takes three or four trips through the Gazette to find that fishhook and sometimes I even have to hand it to my husband saying, “You find it!” It’s fun anyway. It’s on page 6 in the scoop at City Hall in the April issue. Mavis Schroeder Mayer, Minnesota

To the Editor: Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in saving my husband’s life after suffering a major heart attack on October 19th, and for all the support given to us during a very distressing time. Many, many thanks to our good friend and neighbor Nicole Wongdock, who responded to my husband’s call immediately and called 911. Timing was critical. Thanks to the emergency team: Steve Dahl, Bruce Osborne, Rick Leuthner, Gary Sohns, the Carver County Sheriff’s Department, and the paramedics who came to my door. You and many other folks like you volunteer your time to become highly trained technicians who serve our emergency needs. I would urge everyone to support their volunteer fire department and rescue personnel, with both respect and contributions. Their competence and generosity are astounding. Thanks to Dr. Drill-Mellum and her staff at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia for the excellent care my husband received during his emergency visit. The quick response and care they gave him before transporting him to Abbott Northwestern saved his life. The excellent care continued with the team that transported my husband to Abbott Northwestern and the attention he received there. I just can’t say enough about the kindness, compassion, and care my husband and our family received at Ridgeview and Abbott Northwestern. Outstanding. And to our friends and neighbors on 77th Street in Victoria who supported us during this difficult time: Thank you. Our love to everyone involved for showing us that this community is greater than I could ever have previously imagined. God bless. Chilly and Dody Bergan Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I am writing first of all to say how grateful I am to have Fresh Seasons here in Victoria. We waited a long time to have the convenience of a grocery store right here within walking distance for many of us. The quality and varieties in the store are excellent and all of the personnel are helpful and friendly to all. Let’s all support our store 100% to ensure that they will be permanent residents of our community for a long, long time. It’s up to us to bring our business to our local store so that they are able to prosper and maintain the high quality product and service we now enjoy. Let’s all do our weekly shopping locally and support Fresh Seasons and let them know how delighted we are to have them here in Victoria. Jean Larson Victoria, Minnesota
