Letters Continued |
To the Editor: Thank you, Sue, for everything. You have been wonderful to work with all season. The Gazette must appreciate you a lot. Have a wonderful spring and summer. Julie Peterson Victoria, Minnesota EDITOR’S NOTE: Your letter makes me smile. I hope the Gazette does appreciate me.
To the Editor: First, a belated thank you for placing our April ad right next to the article introducing our new pastor. Pastor Dixon will be installed on Sunday, June 13th, with a potluck following the service. It will probably be a brunch type menu since we will be in summer worship service time mode beginning May 30th, starting at 9:30 instead of 10:30. You are invited to join us, Sue, as our guest. Judy Kaaua Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: You are so lucky to be able to babysit Sophie on Fridays. We rarely had a chance to do so with our grandchildren as our family is scattered all over the USA. One of our granddaughters, Elissa Holtmeier, is moving to Wisconsin from Alabama so she will be much closer to us. Elissa has accepted a job as Presentation Editor for a newspaper in Wisconsin. She will be the supervisor for the design desk. The desk designs pages for the Wausau Daily Herald, the Stevens Point Journal, the Marshfield News Herald, and the Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune. Ron Holtmeier Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I’m sending you a copy of our May schedule that I hope you can put into the paper. I’ve talked to several people who think it would be a good idea for people to be able to clip it from the Gazette for the fridge and let them see when we play. If you like the idea, I’ll send you the rest of our schedule so we can do it every month of the season. Thanks for everything, Sue. Mike Poppitz Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I talked with David and Judy and they said how nice it was to have you at their place down in Indiana and how they enjoyed it and dinner out. I am very excited about the whole thing. We are tickled that someone got down to David’s studio and their home. It is artsy and I love it and Judy has flowers in her gardens and vegetables and herbs and could do catering, and has, for friends. They work together well and love the Lord. I know David works from the heart. God bless you and Allan. I am still trying to figure out how you got the Madonna in your truck and out of your truck. I heard it’s a bit heavy! Love, Loretta and Dave Kocka Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I am deeply saddened to report that about a week ago, Scott Thiede went to Methodist Hospital for a heart operation but his arteries were so bad that it could not be completed. It was discovered that one kidney was not functioning and the other was functioning at 40% so he is now having dialysis three times a week. But while all this was going on, he had a stroke that badly affected his left side. He needs all of our prayers as he is expected to be in the hospital for several months. Scott is the son of the late Walt and Gloria Thiede, both of whom are resting in our Lake Auburn Moravian Cemetery. Walt had been a Carver County Deputy Sheriff. Scott is also the brother and brother in law of Roger and Nancy Thiede of Victoria who are members here at LAMC. Ron Holtmeier Victoria, Minnesota
