The lounging lady on page 9 in the April issue of the Victoria Gazette is on the verge of getting a tetanus shot. If her lounge chair legs flip back, a fishhook is heading for her hinder!

Mom's Day is around the corner. Uncover the BBQ and party on! Steaks, burgers, watermelon, doritos, and all sorts of oink-oinks to schnibble on. My mom's birthday, May 13th, was often on Mom's Day. Depending on the calendar, if May 13th was Mom's Day, it also was Mom's birthday. She would have been 84 this May 13th. Mom was born at 2:00 a.m.

Her buddy Marcy Jaspers has the same birthday. When Mom and Dad were married on April 26th, 1947 -- 64 years ago -- Marcy Jaspers was in the wedding party as was Tom Welter's Aunt Bernice. Anyway, Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers.

I'm paying for my Gazette for another year. Would you take my husband's name Harry off the label and just keep my name Lyla? read the Gazette from cover to cover and enjoy it very much because of all the interesting things in it. I found the fishhook on page 9 in the KleinBank ad, on the bottom of the lawn chair where the lady is sitting. Thank you.
