To the Editor: Great spread on the Deer Run Garden Crawl in the last paper. Thanks for covering the event. I've got another small world story that you might like for the paper. Nan Emmer Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hello. I was hoping to find out if it's possible to get a single edition of the Victoria Gazette. My husband is mentioned in one of the articles of the September paper and I'd love to have it, to show him, but it doesn't really make sense for me to subscribe to the paper as we live in North Carolina. I would be more than happy to pay for the paper and for postage. Thank you so much. Maria Anderson North Carolina
To the Editor: Last night Cathi and I got ice cream at The social, and there was a sign on the counter that said, "Abby will sing for tips." I bit. This kid was fantastic. Didn't ask for a last name. I thought of your resident focus. You might be interested. Tom O'Connor Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Sprechen Sie Deutsch? Nice editor's column in September. I got out my German-English dictionary and came up with a few words. My grandparents were of German descent. I can understand some German, but sprechen not gut. The fishhook is in the Yetzer's Nickle Dickle ad on page 13. Auf wiedersehen. Ethel Schneider Shakopee, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. There have been many, many dump trucks going through Victoria using Highway 5 and County Road 11. A quick estimate is several hundred trucks per hour, and the traffic has been rolling seven days a week. I know trucks need to be used for all the road construction and new development. My complaint is that hardly any of these trucks are covering their loads. At most, one or two percent of the truck drivers are using their covers. This is a hazard to anyone driving near them, as well as those biking or walking along these roads. Truck drivers, "Cover your loads!" Debra Black Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: A couple months ago, in your editorial, you used a pun which, as you know, can be the lowest form of humor. The worst one I ever read was when I was a kid, and there was a picture of a whole village in flames during World War I. The caption above it read, "Keep the Home Fire Burning." Your editorial in the August issue, on Planned Parenthood, was great. I'm including some detailed memories of the old St. Victoria School that Mike Wartman wrote about in the September issue of the Gazette. And that's it from Milaca! I love the Victoria Gazette. Roger Diethelm Milaca, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I sure like seeing the recipes in the Gazette. Found the fishhook in the Yetzer's ad on page 13. It's part of the nickle, wrapped around the ear of Thomas Jefferson. Barb Johnson Sacred Heart, Minnesota
