The Scoop

at City Hall

To the Editor:

Hope you are having a great summer.  I can't believe the State Fair is here!

The St. Victoria Tenth Annual Golf Tournament was played today, August 27th, and we're looking forward to choir starting up again in a couple weeks.  The summer is over!!  Not without lots of fun and laughs.

This year Cowboy Tom put together five teams to play in the Choir Tournament held at Deer Run again.  We love Deer Run and we had a great time.  Wonderful weather and friends.  No one could ask for more.

I'll send you a picture for your October issue of the Gazette, including a picture of the winning team.  They won, but not without controversy since they had five players and the rest of us only had four on a team.  And they putted with the flag in, which is typically a two-stroke penalty!!  Outside of that, everyone did a great job and we had three new players this year.  Hope they will return next year for the 11th annual!

Thank you, Cowboy Tom.  Thank you, Deer Run Golf Course.  See you soon, Sue.
