Letters Continued

Dedicated to the sunshine of truth,

the moonshine of meeting deadlines,

and the starshine of Victoria.

To the Editor:

Loved your coverage of the Deer Run Garden Crawl and especially the Scholls.  Such great neighbors.

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  I'm emailing to see if you might have some information that I need.  In a recent issue of the Victoria Gazette, there was a letter to the editor from LuAnn Fransen, Program Director of WeCAB in Mound.  I am trying to locate information about this program and have been unable to.  Would you happen to have any contact information for LuAnn Fransen?  Any help is much appreciated.

To the Editor:

I've known Bob Ayotte for several years now as both a co-worker and friend.  The nature of our work has allowed me to get to know Bob pretty well.  When I heard he was running for Carver County Commissioner, I was excited because this is a position I don't take lightly and neither will Bob.

As a resident of Victoria, I am well aware of the fact that we have some of the highest taxes in the area.  I, along with my neighbors, am also very concerned about the continual growth of traffic along Hwy 5.  These are just the kinds of challenges Bob is equipped to tackle.

Bob's broad experience from over 30 years in the military, as well as his involvement with numerous civic organizations, has put him in many situations where clear direction and persistent drive were necessary to achieve set goals.

Bob is the kind of guy who does what he says he will do and just gets things done.    His years of leadership experience help him think outside of normal solutions to complex problems, and his ability to work with all different kinds of people allows him to gather the necessary teams to complete the task.

Despite Bob's experience and accomplishments, he is one of the most genuine and humble people I have ever met.  He is the kind of person who has already demonstrated his desire to positively impact his local community through his involvement with the Lions Club, helping local veterans through the Wounded Warrior Project, and Chanhassen Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, to name a few.

As Carver County Commissioner, he will be able to take his impact to the next level and continue to serve his community.

As a friend, I support Bob but as a citizen I am excited about a man of Bob's caliber providing leadership to Carver County and look forward to the important challenges he will be able to implement in the years to come.

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  I was wondering if you could re-run Gordon Diethelm's obituary in the October 2014 issue of the Gazette, which would be a year from his passing.  The obit in November 2013 issue had the month incorrect.  It states he died Sunday,  November 13th, 2013, when in fact he died Sunday, October 13th, 2013.  I'm requesting this a month early but I hope you can keep this in mind for October.  There were several in the family who got the November 2013 paper so a corrected update would  be appreciated.  Thank you.

To the Editor:

I wanted to make you aware of an award that Mel Hazelwood received at the Minnesota State Fair this year for 50 years of continuous service at the Minnesota Rusco booth at the Grandstand.  I have included a photo of Mel with his award and the bio that was read at the presentation.  If you have questions, call Mel or me.

To the Editor:

Hey, Sue.  Hope things are good with you and Al and your family.  Is it possible for you to email me a copy of your article on the political forum held in Victoria that you reported on in the November 2012 issue of the Gazette?  It seems so long ago.  So where did the summer go?
