To the Editor: I am renewing my subscription to the Gazette. I enjoy it so much and look forward to it every month. It gets better every month. Keep it coming. Thank you. Marie Stumpf (Cowboy Tom’s mom) LeSueur, Minnesota
To the Editor: Good morning. I have an 8-year old nephew who lives in Victoria and I just found out he has baseball skill-level testing on Sunday morning, March 21st, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. My first thought was, “Sunday morning? Isn’t this supposed to be a day for family and church?” It makes me wonder what has happened to the values of this country. I don’t know if I am in the minority for feeling this way or if many other people feel the same way. I know Victoria isn’t alone in this. I see it here in Chanhassen, too. It just makes me sad to see how priorities have changed. Thanks for letting me vent. Not sure if you were the right person to write. You were what popped up on Google when I looked up the newspaper for Victoria. Thomas Hilk Chanhassen, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Susan. Just a note to say hello and chime in with everyone else that your one-of-a-kind newspaper is truly enjoyable. Love, Aunt Clarone Half Moon Bay, California
To the Editor: Keep up the good work. Harold Trende Cologne, Minnesota
To the Editor: I have gotten so many calls from my last ad in the Gazette, I’ll put another one together for your April issue. Reserve a spot for me. Nan Emmer Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Changing views are altering dementia care in Victoria. As more people age in Minnesota, we are seeing more dementia and Alzheimer’s. Instead of sending people to institutions that offer only the basics, alternative care settings are being developed that promote dignity and as much independence as possible. Recently, Augustana Care purchased Emerald Crest, a community dedicated to a unique model of cognitive care located in Victoria, Burnsville, Minnetonka, and Shakopee. I thought your readers would want to know more and so I invite you to visit Emerald Crest. Jenna Zark, Augustana Emerald Crest
To the Editor: Renewing my Gazette for another year. My husband died December 21st, 2009. We were married 64 years, 5 months, and 16 days. Our anniversary was July 5th. I’m surprised I remember the Gazette check, due in March or April. Judy Kerber Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: We love the Victoria Gazette. It’s a great newspaper. Florian Eder St. Bonifacius, Minnesota
To the Editor: Great paper. Enjoy your column and your granddaughter’s art. June Seamann Excelsior, Minnesota
