The Victoria GAZETTE |
December 2011 |
To the Editor: I have family members in North Platte, Nebraska. They say they enjoy my stories and would like the Victoria Gazette sent to their homes. I'd pay the postage for them. Chuck Freiberg Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I appreciate advertising in the Gazette. Your paper is so good that a lot of people read it. I suppose if you expanded, you would lose the personal touch and become like every other paper. John Zimmerman Cologne, Minnesota
To the Editor: Friday, November 25th was not a good day. Bert Young died about 2:00 a.m. that morning. Bert was a president of the Chaka High School Class of 1948 and I was a member of that class. He currently was living in Chaska but had been president of a bank near Mille Lacs. Also, Liz Rosca, the daughter of Doug and Katie Bade, died. Ron Holtmeier Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Joel Stockdale of Victoria got a hole-in-one on Hole #11 at the Bluff Creek Golf Course in Chanhassen on November 4th, 2011. He used an 8-iron on the 138-yard hole. The hole-in-one was witnessed by Joe Dupont of Eden Prairie. Please call if you have any questions. Jenna Witmman Bluff Creek Manager Chanhasen, Minnesota
To the Editor: Merry Christmas to Editor Sue and her crew and to all the 4,600 families who get the Gazette. I turned the clocks behind a couple weeks ago -- my clocks on all four phones, both bird clocks, microwave chiming clock, stove clock, cow clock, and the clock on my entertainment stand and by the bed, which are digital, and a mantel clock, no chimes on that one. My chiming clock has the Westminster chime like Big Ben in London, but it only chimes during the day. I don't set it during the afternoon or evening or else it chimes at night. The cardinals on my bird clocks will be flying to page 33 in the November Gazette for a three-piece meal with the corncobs in the cornucopia after they go fishing. That's where the fishhook was hidden. Kay Meuwissen Chaska, Minnesota |
