To the Editor: I love the paper. Jan Sutton, Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I am a resident of Victoria and business owner in Victoria and would like to pitch a story idea for the Victoria Gazette. Members of The Circle of Excellence chapter of Business Networking International (BNI) are hoping to survive this economic downturn by helping each other. The economy has hit small business very hard and so we are going “back to the basics” with networking with each other. To give you more information, I have attached a press release for your review. If you have any questions or would like to visit a meeting to see what we are all about, please don’t hesitate to call me or stop by one of our meetings. Thanks for your time. Amy Foley, President, Circle of Excellence Chapter Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: As a parish family that strives to be the face and hands of Jesus Christ, you know from the news that most recently we are presented with an urgent need. The news pouring out of Haiti as they deal with this devastating earthquake compels the entire global community to reach out and find ways to meet the multitude of humanitarian needs that have surfaced. To stand in solidarity with our brothers an sisters, the St. Victoria Parish Family is focusing on several immediate opportunities that we wanted to share with you quickly through this email. Simply visit our website at www.st.victoria.net if you would like to find out more about how we can reach out to the people of Haiti. God bless. Father Bob White, St. Victoria Catholic Church Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: As you are aware, Emerald Crest has been purchased the first of the year by Augustana. With that change I have a new email address I would like to share with you. Please use my new email for all future correspondence. My phone number and address stays the same. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you. Christine Drasher. Director of Admissions & Marketing Augustana Emerald Crest, Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Please put this information in your wonderful paper for February. It is refreshing to still have a hometown paper. Thank you for all your support for the local events in Victoria. We moved here three years ago and cannot say enough good things about Victoria, Minnesota. Blessings. Pam Schumacher Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I wonder if you would forward my enclosed sympathy card to Ardes Koehnen. Wanted her to know how much we appreciated all her husband’s care of our vehicles, which always required work of some kind. I don’t think they make them like Lenny any more when it comes to service. I always remember his work, even if it was below zero, and he never wore a cap. So thanks for doing this for me. I do so enjoy the Gazette and read it from cover to cover. I am rewarded once in a while with a name or person I remember. Thank you. Betty Werner Delafield, Wisconsin
