         Carver County Sheriff Bud Olson announces that the Carver County Sheriff’s office is now on Facebook.  The public is invited to visit this Facebook fan page, which will be used as an outreach to all fan members for crime alerts, assistance with law enforcement suspect photo identification, events of the Sheriff’s Office, and more.  Help keep our communities connected by becoming a fan.

         Anyone with information on any crime is encouraged to contact the Carver County Sheriff’s Office at 952-361-1212.  After hours call 952-361-1231.  If you wish to remain anonymous, leave a message on the Tip line at 952-361-1224 or on the Sheriff’s website.  If you see a crime in progress, call 911.

         I am a resident of Victoria and business owner in Victoria and would like to pitch a story idea for the Victoria Gazette.

         Members of The Circle of Excellence chapter of Business Networking International (BNI) are hoping to survive this economic downturn by helping each other.  The economy has hit small business very hard and so we are going “back to the basics” with networking with each other.

         As a parish family that strives to be the face and hands of Jesus Christ, you know from the news that most recently we are presented with an urgent need.  The news pouring out of Haiti as they deal with this devastating earthquake compels the entire global community to reach out and find ways to meet the multitude of humanitarian needs that have surfaced.

         I wonder if you would forward my enclosed sympathy card to Ardes Koehnen.  Wanted her to know how much we appreciated all her husband’s care of our vehicles, which always required work of some kind.  I don’t think they make them like Lenny any more when it comes to service.  I always remember his work, even if it was below zero, and he never wore a cap.

         So thanks for doing this for me.  I do so enjoy the Gazette and read it from cover to cover.  I am rewarded once in a while with a name or person I remember.  Thank you.
