Hook, Line & Sinker

Yes, I made lutefisk during the days just before Christmas, just for Allan and me. It was delicious, as usual. If you haven’t tried it, you don’t know what you’re missing.

But maybe you do know what was missing in the Christmas issue of the Gazette. Seems the fishhook was missing. I hid it, as I always do, at the end of completing the many pages of the Gazette.

During those last hours, a couple of late ads arrived via email, which is how many ads arrive today, and in the process of switching things around to accommo-date those advertisers, I must have flicked off the fishhook.

Maybe you don’t know that the fishhook I deal with is sorta like a sticky decal that I stick anywhere I please. Well, guess it didn’t stick this one time. Sorry for the headaches and confusion that caused some of you. From now on, I will double check that the fishhook hasn’t been flicked off the page. So much for flicking. Now I’m going to make more lutefisk, just for Allan and me. With melted butter. And smashed potatoes. And lefse. And a tray of Belgian Cookies and Belgian Chocolates. Multi-cultural diversity is nothing new around our place.
