To the Editor:

Enclosed find payment for Fr. Fred’s and my subscription for the Gazette.  Everybody who gets the Gazette likes it.  You people get so much done each month.  It must take a mastermind to keep everything in order for the Gazette.

I don’t only wish to thank, but do thank, all who offered prayers, sent cards, and gave gifts to me on the occasion of my 57th anniversary of ordination.  I thank also those who sent me Christmas cards and gifts.  People in this area are very thoughtful.  I thank them also for birthday gifts.  Sue, thanks for putting this in your paper.  Let’s pray often for peace and for one another.

         Love,

         Father Conran Schneider

To the Editor:

Hello, Sue.  I was given your name by Mary Hadaway at the Chamber of Commerce.  I am in the process of putting together a new marketing brochure for the area and am in need of photos of Victoria to be included in our brochure.  Is this something you can help us with?  Interestingly enough, when I dial 952-443-2010 as the number for the Gazette, I get a private residence.  Please give me a call on my cell or shoot me an email and let me know if this is something I could get from you.  Thanks so much.

To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to offer my thank you to the people of Victoria for the last four years serving you as your Town Deputy.

I value the time I have spent with you in the City of Victoria and the friendships I have made with many of you.  One of the things I value most was the opportunity to work with a community that is active with their government and takes pride in their city.  Together we have worked on many issues making Victoria a great place to live.

I would like to thank the Victoria City Council and the city staff for their continued support of me and the Sheriff’s Office.  I truly felt as a valued team member and a real part of the City of Victoria.

The future for me holds an exciting position as a Corporal in the Support Services Division.  Some of my new duties will include coordinating our Water and Snowmobile Patrol programs.  I look forward to seeing you all in Victoria on a snowmobile or boat in the future!

Deputy Josh Baker will be taking the position of Town Deputy in January 2009.  I know that Deputy Baker will continue to serve the people of Victoria with the same enthusiasm and dedication that I have tried to provide to all of you.  Thank you all for the opportunity to work with you.

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  Are you snowed in?  We were supposed to go to a wedding in Cottage Grove this afternoon but decided we are too old to push the car out of the ditch.

Please change our mailing address and remove the box number.  Yippee!  After all these years we now get our mail in front of our house.  Dave will probably automatically go to the Post Office each morning anyway.  It is hard to change our old ways.  The Post Office has always been a good place to say hi to neighbors in the area.

Have a Blessed Christmas.  The New Year should be much better or maybe much worse.  Either way, God will be right beside us all.  Hope you can be with your little ones for Christmas and that the weather will calm down a little so people can get around.  God bless.
