Winter arrived with a vengeance as it dropped us into single digits and even below zero. We've seen so many cars in the ditches and swerved on the highways. But none of them had a fishhook hiding around a back tire except for the Gray Garden snowplow truck on page 28 in the December issue of the Gazette. When I reached into the minnow bucket of entries, I pulled out Helen Schimmelpfennig of Fish Creek, Wisconsin, who ranks among the most avid fishhook finders every month. Glad you came up for a breath of fresh air, Mrs. S. The ten dollar prize will be on its way to you soon and very soonly. There's another fishhook hidden in this issue of the Gazette. It's a brand new year but the same old fishhook. Some things don't change so easily. If you find it and wish to be part of the next drawing, email Sue@VictoriaGazette.com telling of its location or drop a line to P.O. Box 387 in Victoria, MN 55386 and sinker in the mail. Stay out of the ditch on your way to the Post Office. |
