One of the more picturesque panoramas in downtown Victoria is the view of Stieger Lake from the Bayfront Plaza or the Charlson Thun Community Bandstand -- especially when there's a boat or two bobbing or slowly trolling on the lake, with fishermen and fishing poles silhouetted against the evening sky.  I often wonder if they can hear the concert music.  Surely they can see us folks who have crawled out of the woodwork to enjoy the Wonderful Walkable Wednesdays in downtown Victoria.

When I reached into the minnow bucket this month, I pulled out Jenni Duerkop of Victoria.  Congratulations, Jenni.  Your $10 prize winnings will be on its way to you shortly.  The fishhook was indeed stuck in the pants of the gardener on page 16 of the ReMAX ad.

There's another fishhook hidden in this issue of the Gazette.  If you find it and want to be part of the next drawing, email Sue@VictoriaGazette.com telling of its location or drop a line to P.O. Box 387, Victoria, MN 55386 and sinker in the mail.

If you ever go fishing on Stieger Lake on Wednesday evenings, let me know what you see and hear.
