Concerts in the Park. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 18th (Honky Tonk), and Wednesday, June 25th (Tom Hunter Blues Band). Lions Park. Free.

Movies in the Park. Friday, June 20th, "Frozen." Gates open at 8:30 p.m. Lions Park. Free admission.

Flag Day. It's always on June 14th. It is a day to celebrate and show respect for our flag, its designers and makers. The resolution adopted by the Continental Congress on June 14th, 1777, read: "The flag of the United States shall be of thirteen stripes of alternate red and white, with a union of thirteen stars of white in a blue field, representing the new constellation."

Father's Day. Sunday, June 15th. The third Sunday in June honors fathers and celebrates fatherhood. Founded in Spokane, Washington, in 1910. Inaugurated to complement Mother's Day.

Summer Begins. Saturday, June 21st. At the time of the summer solstice, the sun is directly overhead at noon at the Tropic of Cancer. It is the longest day and shortest night of the year in the northern hemisphere.
