I would like to add it to your website as well. I've attached a file about the event and future dates. Can you help me get this posted on the Gazette's online event page?

Good morning. We're in the midst of Home and Garden Show season, and spring -- despite how things feel this week -- is out there on the horizon somewhere. With that in mind, we are offering our Top Ten Tips for hiring a contractor.

Homeowners, as always, will be raring to get to work on their homes and properties. Projects can be very exciting but they can also be very stressful. A great way to manage a good deal of that stress is by getting things right on the front end.

When hiring a contractor: 1) Check out their track record. 2) Solicit multiple quotes. 3) Verify license and insurance. 4) Ask for references. 5) Inquire about a lien waiver. 6) Don't forget building permits. 7) Consider future service issues. 8) Get everything in writing. 9) Don't rely on verbal promises. 10) Arrange a payment schedule.

Someone told me the Victoria Auto Haus closed. Is this true? If so, do you know why?

The flu bug hit me hard and yesterday I got back home after spending five days in the hospital. The Ridgeview medical staff were so very great to me. We are lucky to have this facility in Carver County.
