THIRD CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY AT BLAINE.  The Chanhassen Chaska Hockey Association Squirt A team is 3 for 3 in tournaments this year, taking home their 3rd championship trophy the weekend of January 25-27 by winning the YHH Squirtacular in Blaine, MN.  Featuring 32 teams in the A division, including the top teams in Minnesota, CCHA battled their way through six games of tough competition which included a 2-1 championship against previously undefeated Mahtomedi.  That made a sweep for CCHA as Squirt B1 won the B division championship an hour earlier!

ECONOMICS AND SOCCER IN COPENHAGE.  Larson Cole, son of Niles and Heather Cole of Victoria and a 2016 graduate of Chanhassen High School, studied Economics at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in the fall of 2018.   His soccer team was being honored by the Mayor of Copenhagen.  Larson is in the second row, second from the right.  Larson is currently attending the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

CHAMPIONS AT OWATONNA.  Chanhassen Chaska Hockey Association (CCHA) Bantam C Purple took the championship at the Owatonna Invitational February 1-3.  They played Iowa City for a 1-1 tie, shut out Sioux City 6-0, dominated Woodbury 7-1, only to rematch Iowa City in the Championship Game.  Tough game but Justin Owens calls a play at faceoff on a power play and tips in the game winning goal for a final score of 2-1.
