Thank you, Tony Vogel, for the fresh catch of sunfish. They were so clean and meaty and delicious. You are very thoughtful. And we also found your homemade seasoning to be just perfect. It ranked at the top of my favorite Friday meals in Lent -- along with the mackerel we caught in the Gulf at Marco Island. Such a menu is surely not what you'd call a sacrificial diet, but that's not the sole point. Besides, I've never eaten sole. The point is to put something significant in your mind once in a while, like what happened on the Friday before Easter. I could also remind readers that I love the fish sandwiches at McDonald's and ate at least six of them in Lent, not just on Fridays. I order them all year round.

And all year round I keep hiding a fishhook in each and every issue of the Gazette. In April I pulled Shannon Kennedy of Chaska out of the minnow bucket to win the $10 drawing. The hook was in the Dr. Dungey & Menser ad on page 10, wrapped around the handle of the umbrella.

The fishhook hidden in this May issue of the Gazette will probably take you all a little longer to find. I almost feel guilty finding such a good hiding place, but I'm sticking to it and that's my story! If you want to be included in this drawing, let me know where you found it.
