*Anthony Rockford, who is part of the Victoria homeowners group formed to review issues surrounding 86th Street, reported the group is trying to collect data of their own regarding street traffic, and asked for and received a two-week extension to November 23rd to compare numbers.

*Administrator Don Uram reported that the City of Victoria will continue to utilize existing staff to reduce costs and to provide on the job training.  Bill Schwanke, the city’s building inspector spent 630 hours since May on construction jobs with TKDA  in Victoria, resulting in over $18,000 in cost savings to the city.

*Interviews were conducted Monday, November 2nd as part of the process to hire a Victoria Public Works Superintendent.

*Councilmember congratulated Planner Holly Kreft for another successful application for a city project, this one part of the Greenstep Cities Demonstration Project that will serve as a model for other cities.

         * Council approved the hiring of Mary Isenburg at $9/hour to fill the daycare assistant/front desk position at the Victoria Recreation Center.  The daycare assistant position runs the childcare program offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and has some front desk duties.

*Council adopted a resolution that increases the voluntary municipal contribution to Victoria Fire Relief from $29,000 in 2008 to $44,227 in 2010 to offset the reduction in state aid and addressed the unfunded accrued liability of $272,390.
