*** So the Lehners moved back to Victoria in 2013 where they built a new home on Sky Drive, next to the Lakebridge development. They love being back in Victoria. Al and Louise have remained active members of the St. Victoria Catholic Church since they first moved to Deer Run. As a matter of fact, Louise was much involved in the planning and groundbreaking of the new church. “I was privileged to co-chair with Jerry Schmieg and a talented team from St. Victoria,” she said. “We met every week for five years.” Three of their daughters are nearby. The fourth daughter is in Texas. “Al named them after stars,” said Louise, “which was fine with me -- Kim Novak, Mary Tyler Moore, Gina Lollobrigida, and Tanya Tucker. But I found saints for their middle names!” Kim Louise and husband Kevin Heenie live in Victoria and manage Island View Dining just down the road at Waconia. In addition to the restaurant, they host wedding receptions and other catered gatherings including Al and Louise’s 50th anniversary party. Their children are Kaitlyn, Nick, and Frank. Mary Sophia and husband Greg Sumners live on Lake Minnewashta at Chanhassen. Mary works for RBC Wealth Management. The family just returned from a couple years living in Hong Kong, for Mary’s work. Greg builds one-of-a-kind handcrafted cellos, violins, and violas. Their children are Emily, Matt, TJ, and Sophia. Gina Margaret and husband Dave Holman live in Victoria. Gina is a Sommelier and General Manager of J. Carver Distillery in Waconia. Dave runs his own building inspection company. Their children are Victoria, Mitchell, Joey, and Sadie. Tanya Jo (“She was supposed to be Joseph”) and husband Drew Hisey currently live in Katy, Texas. Drew is an environmental engineer. Tanya worked as a hydro-geologist but now is a Mary Kay representative in order to stay home with their children, Ada, Declan, and Eliana. Speaking of Hong Kong, said Louise, “Last year we had a lifetime experience traveling to Hong Kong to see our daughter Mary and her husband Greg and family. A memory that stays with us is how progressive the region is. We saw state of the art buildings. There are so many people and yet everything is organized. The people are very productive. Even grandmas work.” Louise she if they were on a street and pulled out a map, people would stop and ask if they could help. “Everyone speaks English,” she said. “Mary treated us to the experience of High Tea at Two O’clock at The Peninsula,” continued Louise. “The Peninsula is the oldest hotel in Hong Kong, a luxury hotel. A live orchestra played as we enjoyed lunch with Mary and daughter Gina. I’ve got a video. It’s an amazing place.” *** Back to basics, what advice would the Lehners give to young married couples? Replied Al, “Never go to bed mad. Kiss your wife good night and good morning and tell her to have the coffee ready.” Said Louise, “There are three important things in selecting a mate. He should have great integrity, be spirit filled, and be romantic.” What do they like about each other today? “The same three things,” said Louise, “plus he has a sense of humor.” Replied Al, “Louise is a very good looking slightly aged chicken. She still rambles like she did when she was younger. She is a fantastic wife and super fantastic mother and grandmother.”
