The Victoria GAZETTE |
To the Editor: Loved learning about the Victoria city council candidates in the Gazette. Especially enjoyed all your pictures from the Victoria Volksfest. My daughter in law’s nephew’s team won the bed races. Would you please start a subscription to the Victoria Gazette for my son and daughter in law? Enclosed is a check for $20. Found the fishhook on page 37 on the smiling tooth of Drs. Dungey and Menser’s ad. Blessings. Cynnie Harris Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Victoria resident Bill Forsyth here. In response to “Addressing the Adirondacks” story in the September Gazette, the answer is Danbury, Wisconsin. We were there over Labor Day Weekend, getting groceries for a family weekend at a relative’s cabin. Bill Forsyth Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: That big Adirondack chair in the September Gazette sure looks like the chair in Danbury, Wisconsin. We have a picture of my daughter Nicole sitting in it. Dan Krumrie Crow River Press Hutchinson, Minnesota
To the Editor: The Adirondack lounger that is on page 29 of the September issue of the Victoria Gazette is located in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Thanks. Mike Stulz via email
To the Editor: As I was reading the Gazette, I saw your picture at Wayne’s Grocery Store in Danbury, Wisconsin. I am quite familiar with that area, as my friend Mary has a cabin in Webb Lake, as part of Voyager Village. You looked quite comfortable, and I hope someone woke you before it rained. Bill Mason Excelsior, Minnesota
To the Editor: There is a nice article in the September 2010 Victoria Gazette about Mount Olivet Rolling Acres. The title of the article is “Special Needs Caregivers” and it is written by Tom O’Connor of the Victoria City Council who has a son living at MORA. Can you please send me an electronic version of the article? I am unable to navigate your website to view the full article and Pastor Youngdahl’s secretary cannot get it to work either. Thanks. Deb Kind Mount Olivet Rolling Acres Victoria, Minnesota
EDITOR’S NOTE: I don’t put the entire paper edition online, but I am happy to email you that page as a pdf. To the Editor: In reading the latest Gazette I notice that you have neither a “penury” nor paucity of words. In fact, when convenient, you even invent or coin words, as in describing Interstate 94 as being sparsely “vehicled.” I wonder what Father Elstan would say about that. Father Bernardine Hahn, OFM St. Louis, Missouri
To the Editor: The fishhook is on page 37 on the tooth in the Drs. Dungey, Menser, and Associates ad. I certainly enjoy all of the Gazette. What a wonderful family you and your husband have. Thank you. Julianne (Kerber) Hennen Eden Prairie, Minnesota
To the Editor: I love Victoria, the people of course. Just viewed a seven-series talk from a pastor in Nevada called “Being a Jesus Follower.” It is simple but profound and it stirred up a lot of passion in me. I wish everyone could hear it. I’ve got to get it to you sometime. You’d be wowed, too. Maureen Bonner Victoria, Minnesota
