To the Editor: The children of Ardes Koehnen moved her to Oak Terrace Assisted Living in Jordan, MN. We are writing to request that you send the Victoria Gazette to her new address. Thank you and compliments to you, the editor. Barb, Sheila, Tim, and Michael Children of Ardes Koehnen, Victoria
To the Editor: My wife and I live in Victoria and this summer we opened up a new business called Kerfoot Canopy Tour near Belle Plaine. We offer a nine-zipline canopy tour (our zips are built into the tree canopy). The whole experience takes approximately 2 1/2 hours, and you go in small groups led by two sky guides. We also started construction of three additional ziplines to the course. My wife and I decided to open the business because we love outdoor recreation and we wanted something that was environmentally friendly and sustainable that also encouraged people to get outdoors. We also thought it would be a great way for Minnesotans to see the state from a new perspective. We do offer familiarization tours for the press. If you would like to schedule a tour, please let me know. Lee Kerfoot Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Enjoyed the Gazette, as I always do, and especially seeing the fantastic photo of the four of us -- me and Lynn, and Jerry and Kathy Martin -- on the town during the Classic Car days in Victoria. Any possibility of getting a digital copy of the photo? A professional grade photo needs to be enjoyed and retained for posterity. Denny and Lynn Owens Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Thank you so much for running the story about the Chanhassen Blue 10AA baseball team playing in the World Series at Kansas City. The boys have really enjoyed seeing their story and pictures in the Gazette. Thank you. Were you able to keep 20 to 25 extra issues for me to send to Switzerland, Illinois, and other places? If so, when and where should I pick them up? Tracy Bongard Ketchem Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: As usual, I enjoyed the Gazette, particularly the photos of Jenny and the kids at the Carver County Fair. Also, loved Addie's drawing. I still say those kids are budding artists. Also, I enjoyed the photos of Julianne Wartman's birthday party. Her daughter Julie Steubs is a friend of mine from Olympic Hills and a heck of a golfer. Finally, I was happy to see the article on Rich and Lisa Andersons' store in Victoria -- Tazzie's Baby and Child. You do great work. I have to admit that I don't read the entire paper, but I do skim and am often pleasantly surprised to see photos and names I recognize. Thanks for sending it to me. Hope to see you one of these days. Robin Kelleher Burnsville, Minnesota
To the Editor: I so appreciate your help with my first dive into ads. You did a terrific job helping with the design, the printing, and the placement. Thank you, Sue, for your kind regard of the Blessing House and our new home in Victoria. Gail Berger, The Blessing House Victoria, Minnesota
