To the Editor: What a wonderful story and photos of dear Brenda Keske and her family in the September paper. Adam has been in my prayers. Blessings are sent to all of her family. Blessings, too, on the music Brenda continues to share with Becky Janes and all of the wonderful "Mr. Fox Band" members. Blessings to you and your family, too, dear Sue. Don't know how you ever accomplish all you do day by day. I enjoyed reading about our neighbor Rich Gannon and his car collection that I never knew existed. Wow! Lydia Holsten Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. You really hid the fishhook this time! After hours and days I finally found it on the right arm of the boy on page 38 in the Swanson Insurance ad. Had a very busy summer, so I'll start looking for it again. Isabel Kroening Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thank you for your memories of my mother. We enjoyed them a lot. I know she would have been honored that you were able to be at her funeral service. Mom always looked forward to getting the Gazette. No one else got to see it till she was through with every page. Lisanne Oster Burnsville, Minnesota
To the Editor: Happy Halloween. Hopefully no blizzards like Halloweens 1991 and 1992. Halloween 1991 Dad goes to a Legion function in St. Cloud, snow or not. He brought home a 600 piece bag of tootsie rolls. 100 would have been plenty since there's only 17 kids. Nothing on TV but talks about the blizzard and the radio was no better. Dad had the riding lawnmower's snowplow attached before he left. Missy kept barking. She was getting snowed in at her dog house so I left her in the house. I slept on the couch in my coat and boots and hat. I had a grocery bag of popcorn that I made earlier. Missy ate the old maids too. I had an empty cool whip bowl to give her water. Anytime Missy had a nature call, she'd tap me on the leg and pace by the back door. She slept and I slept. By morning the snow had quit. I started shoveling around noon, the front and back steps, sidewalk, and part of the driveway. Missy is rolling in the snow, digging, and playing. Dad plowed the driveway and I started up the laundry. He went to the Legion to do book work. I fixed chili for supper in the crock pot, all ready when he came home. Load up the dishwasher and upstairs to bed by 9:30. I was all done in. I was only 26 in 1991. I felt like 96 that night. I was pooped out. The fishhook is on page 38 on the kid's arm in the Swanson ad in the September Gazette. Kay Meuwissen Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I want to make sure you are aware of and feel invited to the Chaska Education Association School Board Screening forum on Tuesday, September 30th, in the Blue House Auditorium of Chaska High School. Five of the six candidates have agreed to attend and each will be given fifteen minutes to introduce themselves and answer questions. Don't hesitate to let me know if you have questions. Gretchen Garcia, President Chaska Education Association Serving Eastern Carver County, MN
