To the Editor:

I always look forward to receiving your great newspaper.  The photo of a young Lloyd Braunworth in your September issue was priceless.  The car is a 1930 Model A Ford.  My dad had a 1930 Model A but it was a sport coupe.  It had a white cloth roof, was blue with red wheels, and had a rumble seat.  It ended up in a scrap heap during World War II in Bill Braunworth's collection site by his store in Victoria.

To the Editor:

Loved the September Gazette with the history of naming streets in Victoria.  Great photo of us too!

To the Editor:

From all of us at The Blessing House comes a Great Big Thank You!  You put our feet to dancing for the joy it brought us.  We step a little more sure knowing you've laid out a beautiful path for us.  I surely do love being a part of Victoria and finding friends so quickly.  So much love to you.

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  I see you mentioned my name in the paper as being responsible for Victoria's zip codes.  I agree with you 100%!  I used to work for Excelsior and 70% of the phone calls I received were regarding properties, building permits, realtors, homestead applications, etc.  All of Victoria should have one zip code.  Do you have any contact information for the post office for me?  Thanks much.

To the Editor:

Hello, Sue.  I am a Client Service Representative from the Waconia Veterinary Clinic.  I was wondering if there is somewhere I can find the Sadie Wolf article on page 37 of your September paper.  I went online to www.victoriaGazette.com but didn't find it.  We'd love to share Sadie's article with others.  She was our patient for many years.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  Do you have a pdf version of the article you wrote ("Coming to Victoria in September:  Savior of the World") that you could send me?  Would love to keep for our records and share with others.

Michon Conklin, The Blessing House, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:

The Victoria Lions would like to thank all who participated in our 20th Annual Victoria Lions Golf Classic.  A special thank you to all of our Gold Sponsors (Edward Jones Financial, American Family Insurance, KleinBank, Locher Bros. and Deer Run), to our Silver Sponsor (Tempo Investment Advisors), and our Bronze Sponsors  (Mackenthun's Fine Foods, Hartman Communities, and Vogel Masonry).

The Victoria Lions Club would also like to thank all of the local businesses for all of their donations which go toward our raffle at the event.  Thanks to your generosity, the Victoria Lions Club can continue to help support our communities.

         Lion Kevin Rolf, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:

I continue to see the new building at Lions Park being referred to as a shelter.  A shelter usually implies a roof, usually no walls, which is exactly what previously existed, but it was totally demolished.

It has been replaced with a building that is on a full frost proof foundation and fully insulated with a heated floor, making it a year round usable building.  The Lions have been referring to this new facility as the Lions Pavilion.  We want to move on from referring to it as a shelter.  It is much more.

There is a shelter located at Lions Park and it is next to the Poppitz Baseball Field.
