To the Editor: Good morning. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I am the new Communications Director at Holy Family Catholic High School here in Victoria. You formerly worked with Kate Burke who is no longer at Holy Family. I am in the process of “getting my feet wet” and acclimating to my new position, but I know that some advertising plans may already be underway with the Victoria Gazette. Please update your records to include my name and contact information. If you have upcoming issues that we need to address, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. I look forward to working with you. Therese Bartlett Director of Communications, HFCHS Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: My name is Susan Herda and I am new to Victoria. I got your name from Audrey Humbert as I am dating her son Mikel. I was wondering if I could do an article in the Gazette introducing myself and my business to the area. Let me know if this is something you would be interested in publishing. Thanks. Susan Herda Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Tonight, Wednesday, August 13th, at the Mocha Monkey coffee shop in Waconia, author and poet and pastor Larry Christianson will be reading, telling stories, and signing copies of his first ever published book of poems and you are invited. Hearty congratulations to Larry, a former pastor here at Lake Auburn Moravian Church in Victoria. Pastor Frank Jones Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Did you hear the Kids’ Philosophy? Scoldings don’t hurt; Spankings don’t last, and kill me they darsent! Len Girtz, Chaska, MN
To the Editor: We take this opportunity to thank you for your generous donation of pages of pictures and promotion in the Victoria Gazette of the city’s Summer Concerts in the Park. That is great public relations for us and I appreciate the exposure. You have been a loyal supporter. Thank you. Ann Mahnke Park & Rec/Field House Director Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi! My company has a seminar on financial planning in September in Chaska and we would like to get more information about advertising in the Victoria Gazette. Could you please provide us details and rates? Thanks. Katie Mahler Plymouth, Minnesota
To the Editor: The following information may be of some interest to you. On Wednesday, July 30th, Michelle McNallan, friend of the Gazette, recorded a hole in one at Halla Greens in Chanhassen. She aced the par 3, 112-yard fourth hole with an 8-iron. The list of people who have accomplished this rare achievement is very small, but I’ll wager that the number of people who have an ace while in their third trimester of expectancy is miniscule! Not to mention the fact that Michelle was the low score the evening, shooting a three over par 32, beating the nearest competitor by six strokes. Hubby Pat, Tami Slater, and Yours Truly were on hand to witness the rare occurrence. Congrats again to Michelle. Cowboy Tom Stumpf Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: As you know, you put out an interesting paper. You say it as it is and are always up with the latest things going on, which people like to read, and I’m sure they all look to find the fishhook too, and I just was lucky to find it on page 39 on one of the zoo animals. Have a nice day and keep up the good work. Marie Otten Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: I own a medspa in the Edina area and I’m curious what it would cost to advertise in your paper. Could you email me some additional details? Thank you. Patrick Lewis Edina, Minnesota
