*** On August 26th, Kelly Grinnell reported that there were a couple of minor changes to the budget since the August 12th workshop but that the proposed levy isn't changing. One of the line item changes was related to $4,000 for generator fuel at the Recreation Center. Kelly reminded Council the preliminary levy will be adopted September 4th and be certified to the county by September 15th, with a final levy being adopted before the end of the year. Replying to a question from Councilmember Jim Crowley, she replied the new city buildings, City Hall and Public Works, don't really affect the 2014 levy and that the city hopes to maintain the current tax rate of 39.5% through 2021..
