To the Editor: Hi. I finally found your hidden fishhook on page 29 in the DMA Dentistry ad. My wife Joanne and I have been Victoria residents since July 1st, 2014, and we love it here in the Stieger Lake Condos. Most of all we enjoy reading your Victoria Gazette. The recent August issue also had a story about an old friend, Maurie Leuthner, who was President of the Minnesota Well Association which I had the pleasure of being their Executive Director while Maurie was President. That was almost four decades back. Keep up the great work on Victoria's local paper. Jerry Ramsdell Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Thanks so much for putting my husband's obituary in the next Gazette. I enjoyed visiting with you in Chanhassen last month when we were looking for some meaningful greeting cards. This August 29th, Lorenz and I would have celebrated our 63rd wedding anniversary. We shared many wonderful experiences in ministry. I miss him a lot but am thankful he is with Jesus, free of cancer. Nora Adam and family Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I continue to enjoy the Gazette, and it continues to get busier and busier in that Victoria neck of the woods. I found the fishhook on page 29 in the DMA Dentistry ad. What fun this "fishhook" idea is. Happy rest of the summer. It has gone so fast. Just got back from Grand Haven, Michigan, where Brad and family live. So beautiful over there also. We'd be at the Victoria Volksfest if we weren't in New Jersey enjoying a new granddaughter. Take care and keep up the good work. You must enjoy it. Diane Prieditis Chanhassen, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I have some old pictures that I would like to share with you and Victoria. I was born close to Victoria 77 years ago. I have a picture of my dad's grade school country school and a few others to share. Betty Kuntz Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Holy Family Catholic High School held their annual Ready Tee Fire Golf Classic on July 20th at the Deer Run Golf Course. This tournament has been a Holy Family tradition for the past 19 years, dating back to three years before Holy Family opened its doors. Highlights of the day included the participation of 109 golfers (19 of which were HF alumni), eight corporate sponsors, 26 course sponsors, challenging course competition, a poker run, delicious food, refreshing beverages, and a beautiful summer day. All of this was topped off by genuine hospitality by school volunteers and Deer Run staff. The $36,000 in net proceeds raised at this tournament will not only help to enhance programs and services offered to all students, but will also help to fund tuition assistance for students unable to afford full tuition for this upcoming school year. Holy Family Catholic High School would like to thank everyone involved for making this year's Ready Tee Fire Golf Classic a wonderful success. Mary Stenerson, HFCHS VP of Finance/Development Director Victoria, Minnesota
