Imagine That! I helped lead a group of Victoria students from Victoria Elementary and Bluff Creek Elementary this past fall/winter through a program called “Destination Imagination” (DI), and they just completed their District 112 tournament in March. The Destination Imagination program is all about helping students learn how to accomplish a significant task by using creativity, teamwork, and problem solving skills as they compete against other schools around Minnesota. The DI kids worked on a challenge about delivering materials at a construction site over a wall, and they had a great time at the District tournament in Glencoe. Their team name was “BCE/VES Thinkers” in the DI program. Pictured (l-r): Morgan Day, Zach Wood, Andrew Norlin, Lauren Reilly, Jacob Konz. Kevin Norlin Victoria, Minnesota

Whiff of Spring. Long shot of the Great Hall of Orchids xhibit at the Arboretum. There’s a whiff of spring in the air. Brighter sunshine and 50-degree temps means the gardening season is just around the corner. At least we can start planning as we gear up for a busy season.
