To the Editor: Enclosed is our check for the coming year. Wally and I look forward to each issue. Keep up the good work. After we finish reading it, I take it to my sister, Eleanor Notermann, who is living at Auburn West in Waconia. She is a lifetime resident of the area and also looks forward to the Gazette. Thank you for the fine job. Wally and Phyllis Robling Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thank you for running the photo and description of Virgil Leih and his spring trunk show at the Arboretum. I’m enclosing information about dates and times in case your readers are inquiring about the events. Thanks again. Barb DeGroot MN Landscape Arboretum Chanhassen, Minnesota
EDITOR’S NOTE: Hi, Barb. Sounds like advertising to me. Bet your budget is a lot bigger than mine. Love, Sue.
To the Editor: You do such a wonderful job. We read the Gazette from front to back and I don’t always find the fishhook but it’s fun to try. Sylvia Quaas Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: The Gazette is our best paper and bargain. We enjoy the articles, the pictures of all the kids, and thank you for honoring our firefighters once again. We support both the Victoria and the Chaska Fire Departments. Our address is Chaska but we are Victoria people. Your fishhook is on page 26 in the Wilson ad with Steve and Kathy. Rosie Williams Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: For years I’ve enjoyed your newspaper, and thought you might enjoy seeing Carmel Quinn at the Old Log Theater here in Excelsior. Hope you can use the enclosed tickets. Don Stolz Excelsior, Minnesota
To the Editor: I have to admit that I smiled (just a little bit) as I read your From the Editor’s column in March, because we all can identify and empathize with you, not only about computer problems, but we also have people problems. You asked the question why some people have a desire to harm others, while others have good will. The Bible tells us that we do bad things because we are sinners. David said in Psalm 51, verse 5, “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful at the time my mother conceived me.” If it wasn’t for the grace of God and His infinite love for us, there’d be no hope of being a “nice” person. Desires to harm someone come from the heart, and only God can change hearts. The whole gospel story is that Christ took upon Himself our sin so we can be conformed to His likeness, if only we accept His free gift. The problem is that many don’t care to go there. Herein lies the problem. I know I’m preaching to the choir. Hope your days ahead are filled with joy. Maureen Bonner Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: We have enjoyed the Gazette for many years. Keep up the good work. I found the fishhook on page 26 in the Wilson ad. I normally don’t take time to look for it. Must have been easier to find this time. Glenn Overturf Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I really had to hunt for the fishhook in the March issue and finally found it on page 26 in the Steve and Kathy Schmieg ad logo. You really are getting good at hiding those hooks! Thanks for the entertainment. Nancy Graumann Rochester, Minnesota
