The Scoop at City Hall |
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Super Great Paper! Love it. The minute it comes, we read it first, cover to cover. Rick has CIDP, an auto immune disease, very hard to diagnose. It stands for Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy. If anyone has it, give us a call. Would like to know of anyone else. Maybe we could start a support group. Thanks so much. Rick and Kathy Brose Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Why is the City of Victoria spending $11,000 plus on signs to be installed on 86th Street when the street is going to be reconstructed next year? In this economy, our tax money could be better spent in other areas. The people who travel 86th Street need to learn to be more responsible in their driving. Every street in Victoria has its issues with people speeding through the area. Maybe a few traffic tickets are in order. I see no need for these signs. This is our city. Please learn to take care of it. As adults and parents, we have the responsibility to be a good example, to teach our children to care for their city, to be good stewards of our tax dollars. Thank you. Sandra Dahl Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Greetings. Thank you for the great service your paper provides to the community, and thank you for all you have done for us. Dale Riley, Fresh Seasons Market Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. It was fun seeing you at Fresh Seasons a couple weeks ago. Just got back from LA and your wonderful Gazette was waiting for me. So enjoyed reading all the wonderful news and viewing all the pictures last night. Found the fishhook on page 26 in the Wilson ad. Happy St. Patrick’s Day, which is coming up soon. Looking forward to the April Gazette. Cynnie Harris Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I don’t see as well as I used to, but I think I found the fishhook on page 26 as part of the W in the Wilson Development ad. If I’m wrong, just chalk it up to old age. I enjoy your paper. Doris Strom Excelsior, MN 55331
To the Editor: What a surprise, finding that my name had been pulled from the minnow bucket. Many thanks for the $10 and for all you do. Elaine Scholl Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: We would like to thank everyone for the many blessings and support received since the recent death of Gerry’s mom, Louis A. Zeder. Good friends and neighbors are so important at such a time. I’ve enclosed the obituary for those who have not seen it. Gerry and Cathy Zeder Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Every time I sit down and read the Victoria Gazette, I am brought back into another world. A piece of my yesteryear pops up with a world of honesty, down home friendliness, and good ol’ neighborly kindness. It also makes me feel proud of my country and a little safer than I feel if I listen to the local news or read another paper. I want to thank you for all the effort you put into making such a good read for us all, and the pictures too go a long way to help enlighten us or to reminisce. I always appreciate your honesty too and had to chuckle a bit about the computer virus. Not really. I understand. Thanks again, Sue, for a great newspaper. We all love and appreciate you very much. Corie (and Pete) Boyer Daughter of Ethel Ausink Excelsior, Minnesota
