To the Editor: Sue, the Gazette is a bargain. Fr. B. St. Louis, Missouri
To the Editor: I enjoyed the write-up on Father Bernardine very much. It brought back many happy memories. Enclosed find a check for another year of your nice paper. I found the fishhook on page 32 in the Birthright ad. Irene Schleicher Shakopee, Minnesota
To the Editor: By a unanimous vote, the Hennepin County Board this week reappointed Jim Calkins and Brian Shekleton to another three-year term on the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District Board of Managers. Earlier, the Carver County Board reappointed Bill Olson as its representative to the MCWD Board, also unanimously. Jim Calkins, a resident of Minnetonka, is currently president of the MCWD Board where he has worked to ensure accountability and transparency in the District's work. Calkins, who has a Ph.D. in Horticultural Science, is well known for his research, extension, and teaching work at the University of Minnesota's Department of Horticulture and teaches extensively about sustainable landscape design and management. Brian Shekleton, a resident of St. Louis Park, has a background in public policy and is currently an aide to Hennepin County Commissioner Peter McLaughlin. His experience at the local and state government level has been a valuable asset to the District's ability to forge partnerships. Bill Olson, a resident of Victoria, brings a wealth of corporate experience to the MCWD Board. An account manager for General Mills Corp., Olson's background in best business practices has bolstered the District's ongoing efforts to operate in a cost efficient and prudent manner. The MCWD is governed by a seven-member board of managers; six are appointed by the Hennepin County Board and the seventh is appointed by the Carver County Board. The appointment process allows the county commissioners to select people with complementary skill sets that are uniquely suited to managing our natural resources in a way that is fiscally responsible and based on sound science. With Calkins' scientific background, Shekleton's public policy experience, and Olson's corporate work, the MCWD Board has a wealth of knowledge to draw from as it makes decisions about natural resource management issues. MCWD Managers serve staggered three-year terms. Telly Mamayek Minnehaha Creek Watershed District

I still have so many reminisces of you all in mind. My visit to Minnesota was for me "the pick of the basket." Continued thanks for you all who made this possible. Theofiel Keymis Hasselt, Belgium
To the Editor: This is to wish you a blessed Easter and to thank you for the extra Gazettes. My friends and relatives are delighted with the full story. Peace. Fr. Bernardine St. Louis, Minnesota
