The Victoria GAZETTE |
To the Editor: Addie did a nice job drawing the fireworks and the American flag. Also, the fishhook is on page 14 on the letter “t” in the Kleinbank “Customer Appreciation” ad. Best wishes. Marie Otten Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: I am moving from St. Bonifacius to Jefferson City, Missouri. Can I still get the paper in Missouri? Rita Puckett St. Bonifacius, Minnesota
EDITOR’S NOTE: Anybody who has a mailing address can receive the Gazette. Did you know there are subscribers all across the United States of America?
To the Editor: I found the fishhook on page 14 alongside the “t” in the word “customer” for the KleinBank ad. You are so crafty in hiding those hooks! By the way, I sure enjoyed reading the page on Marlene and Bill Kaufhold’s 50th anniversary. Happy anniversary, Marlene and Bill! I used to be their neighbor when I lived in Victoria. I was Nancy Maguire when I lived there. Thanks, Sue. Nancy Graumann Rochester, Minnesota
To the Editor: This is addressed to the editor and Gazette Groupies alike. I managed to watch most of the 2010 fireworks. Dozed off around 7 p.m. after my hamburger steak cheeseburger and corn on the cob supper and running my “dishwasher” -- my two hands. I relaxed and zonked out until 9:30 p.m.!! Get going, Lady Jane! Fireworks are starting. I watched fireworks from the White House at 8 p.m. for a spell, then zonked out again. Having sleep apnea is the berries. A fifth-floor neighbor came out, too. I watched from the inside this time. It was muggy and the mosquitoes were snacking away. The neighbors in a house on the corner were blasting firecrackers and I didn’t hear one of them! It looks to me like all the KleinBank clients are bragging about who caught the big one in Lake Gazette. I am a KleinBank client, too, since I was born 45 years ago. I still have my deposit book from back then when it was 1st National Bank here in Chaska. The fishhook is on page 14 in the KleinBank ad. Kay Meuwissen Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: It’s that time of year again when Guardian Angels School alumni are thinking of getting together for their class’s reunion. Great news! This year we’re having an all-class alumni gathering on Saturday, September 25th, at AngelFest. Whether or not you graduated from Guardian Angels, whether or not you attended many years or a few years, you are invited to meet old alumni friends and make new friends in our Alumni Central near the AngelFest action. Just think, you won’t have to book anything and all the food and music and alumni you need are right there already. This is the year for 5th year, 10th year, 20th year, 25th year, 30th year, 40th year, and 50th year reunions of twelfth grade and 8th grade graduates from Guardian Angels. Fr. Paul Jarvis Guardian Angels Catholic Church Chaska, Minnesota
