To the Editor: Wow! So many great articles in your July issue. The feature about Fred Plocher was really neat. We, of course, are saddened that he is no longer a member of Lake Auburn Moravian Church. Rev. Wollin's name should be spelled as I have done and is pronounced Woe-lean. Ron Holtmeier Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Just received the July Gazette and was so pleased to see your feature story on Fred. Apparently Dad and Maddy came through with some pictures for you. Good thing. I was out of town for a few days and so have some excuse for not looking at my email in a timely manner. Even if I had been home, I don't have any pictures and would have been checking with Dad and Maddy anyway. It was a great story. Thank you for the tribute to my Uncle Fred. It was also fun to read about how you and Al discovered Victoria. Didn't know that story. Judy Kaaua Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I am Jesse Coghill's daughter in law, and my maiden name is Plocher. Jesse gave me a copy of the July issue of the Gazette with the Fred Plocher story. Is it possible to get an electronic copy of the article and the pictures so that I can save it with my family history files? Doris Coghill Jordan, Minnesota

To the Editor: Thank you to Mayor Mary Thun who has dedicated ten years of her time, talents, and life experiences to the Victoria community. I keep up monthly from our exceptional paper, the Victoria Gazette! I have been continuously amazed at the extraordinary efforts Mayor Thun has made for the community. I admire her. Her staff is fantastic. She has accomplished so much. She should be proud of her legacy to Victoria. She will be missed. I've met with people who said they love Victoria. They said they have been in several other cities and Victoria is rare. They said this is a warm and welcoming community and City Hall with Holly, the front desk, all the staff, Don Uram, all truly exceptional. The public genuinely notices the difference in Victoria versus other cities. I'm proud to bring people to City Hall. I always wanted the culture you have today, when I was the mayor. No matter what the votes are at the end of the day on any proposal, we truly have a great City Hall with great people. I appreciate Mayor Mary Thun. A culture starts at the top. Mary Meuwissen Mayer, Minnesota
