Willie and Darlene Kelzer of Victoria, with their four 2012 graduating grandchildren. (L-r): Kelsey Kelzer (daughter of Bob and Stacy Kelzer, 2012 graduate of Waconia High School), Amanda Amoe (daughter of Donna and John Amoe, 2012 graduate of Waconia High School), Jake Carlson (son of Carol and Steve Carlson, 2012 graduate of Chanhassen High School), Beth Carlson (daughter of Carol and Steve Carlson, 2012 graduate of Mankato State University with a degree in Elementary Education). Wilbert and Darlene have four children (Mary Roettger, Carol Carlson, Bob Kelzer, Donna Amoe) and nine grandchildren ( Alyssa and Kayla Roettger, Beth and Jake Carlson, Kelsey and Olivia and Emma Kelzer, Amanda and Taylor Amoe). Kelzer's 134-acre farm has been developed into single family homes in the beautiful Watermark and Kelzer Pond neighborhoods. Willbert and Darlene live in Watermark.
▲First Place in Minneapolis. My son Jake Bell is on a Power Soccer Wheelchair team called the Courage Center Blizzards. Their power soccer team won first place in the Presidents Cup Power Soccer Tournament on July 23rd held at the Colin Powell Center in Minneapolis. Courtney Michel, granddaughter of Jane and Gerald Michel of Victoria, graduated from A.T. Still University/Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine on May 12th, 2012, in Kirksville, Missouri. Courtney will be completing her medical training to become a Pediatrician at the University of New Mexico Children's Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Adam Bartley, son of Drew Bartley of Victoria, graduated from Eden Prairie High School in 1997. He went to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and graduated winning the Greer Garson Acting Award. Adam has been acting for over ten years, living in New York City and Los Angeles and other spots. Beached. This is a group of us on a beach where we just finished a fantastic shore lunch prepared by Dick Kellor and Dave Schimke. We spent five days fishing on the immense Lake St. Joseph, northeast of Sioux Lookout, Ontario. Rumor has it that there's a mysterious place called Al Orsen Island. Engaged. Mara Weckman and Blake Habisch of Winsted, along with their parents, are excited to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. Mara is a graduate of Shakopee High School and St. Cloud Technical College. She is on the Management Team at Lady Bug Preschool Learning Center in Chaska and pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Business. Blake is a graduate of Lester Prairie High School and Pine Technical College. He is a Draftsman for Ram Buildings Inc. in Winsted. Mara is the daughter of Kevin Weckman of Shakopee and Joni and Mike Jerussen of Victoria. Blake is the son of Frank and Deb Habisch of Winsted. A fall 2012 wedding is planned in Hutchinson.
Girl Scouts from Victoria Elementary School Troops #12813 and #15386 held a Car Wash at Fresh Seasons Market in Victoria earlier this summer. They raised $470.92 and donated all of the money to the Red Cross for Duluth flood victims. The girls and leader would like to thank Fresh Seasons for sponsoring the car wash location and their families for helping out.
